Toodyay Ag Show 2016

AHMAG would like to thank the Toodyay Agricultural Society for organizing another great show and for always allowing our group to create awareness and inform others as to where mining is proposed in our region.

Even though it rained on and off for most of the day, we had a steady flow of people signing our new petition against Yankuang’s plans to open cut mine for bauxite in the Avon and Hills region within 100 km from Perth’s C.B.D.

Yankuang did not attend this year’s event but were still a major sponsor, which merely confirms their intention to progress with mining here when economic conditions improve in China.

Given there are some 270,000,000 million tonnes of bauxite that has been identified so far in Morangup, Wundowie and Wooroloo in both the Fortuna and Felicitas resources, these proposed mines will continue to remain high on their list of future mines and proposals that they will NEVER willingly walk away from.

With Bauxite resource limited (BRL) obtaining 2 new tenements in the area, one in Julimar and the other in Wundowie either side of the existing resources, there is little doubt that many more millions of tonnes of bauxite will be identified by BRL and their new JV partners, being Chinese State owned HD mining.

A very big thank you to Dave, Hope, Ieva, Shan and Diana for helping out on the day and a reminder to those of you who could not come to the Toodyay show, we will do it all again at the Gidgegannup show on the 29th of October.
